Dr Andrew McGee
Dr Andrew McGee completed and received his medical degree from the University of Birmingham in 1993. He completed the basic surgical training rotation based in North Staffordshire, West Midlands. He successfully completed the higher surgical training programme based in Birmingham, West Midlands and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2006.
Dr Andrew McGee has extensive experience in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery. He has completed fellowships in revisional arthroplastic surgery at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Adelaide, SA and Sports Medicine Arthroscopic Surgery at Coventry University Hospital, UK.
Dr Andrew McGee actively participates with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons professional development programme. He takes a keen interest in the education of the junior doctors and medical students rotating through Hervey Bay Hospital.

CURRENT POSITIONS
Dr Andrew McGee has established his private practise in Orthopaedic Surgery based in Hervey Bay and Bundaberg. He also holds a Visiting Orthopaedic Specialist position at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals, seeing and operating there on a weekly basis.
Dr Andrew McGee actively participates with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons professional development programme. This has allowed him to keep pace with current advancements in surgical treatment and patient care.
He takes a keen interested in the education of the junior doctors and medical students that rotate through Hervey Bay Hospital. He is also a member of the ASSET faculty which teaches basic surgical skills to trainees.
